I study the processes of information consumption, cognition, and behavioural change. My research investigates complex information systems and the mechanisms through which public opinion, political attitudes, social identities, and political behaviour are formed and reshaped in response to evolving information environments. My work spans topics such as political polarisation, elections, Brexit, media systems, artificial intelligence, and climate politics. Recently, my academic research has focused on the effects of (mis)information and the growing influence of AI technologies—particularly large language models and generative AI—as emerging sources of news and information that are transforming how individuals and societies think, decide, and act.
Professionally, I work as a Data Scientist and ESG Consultant, where I quantify environmental and social impacts, develop data-driven decision-support tools, conduct scenario planning, and identify transition pathways toward a sustainable and net-positive economy.
Methodologically, my work employs a range of quantitative approaches, including descriptive and inferential statistics, econometrics, causal inference, network analysis, and machine learning, while increasingly integrating cutting-edge AI methods such as deep learning and large language models as research tools.
My doctoral thesis addressed questions on both voting behaviour and the evolution of Brexit identities, focusing on how media consumption during election campaigns shaped these dynamics. I answered these questions using a combination of browsing history data, representative survey data, and advanced statistical methods, ML, and quasi-experimental designs for causal inference estimations.
This academic term, I am teaching at the University of Oxford Sociological Theory , Radical Social Theory, and Political Sociology for PPE, History, and Politics undergraduates. You can access my current teaching materials for my lectures and Oxford tutorials here on my website under the teaching tab.
